This is just plain unusable. I got a new phone number and have to create a new . I have to find 2 friends who use WeChat for more than 6 months and no issue with their s. Have to inconvenient them to aid me with this verification. After that, just 1 hour of usage, my got frozen all of a sudden. This is retarded. Totally unusable.

My experience as someone who first started using such an application was to say the least, not great. I get that you have good reasons to want this "QR code" verification, but it's really a pain to have to find someone with WeChat installed to do so. Where I live, the numbers are low, and perhaps will stay low because of this rather annoying feature. The second time I tried to my , I was met with a blank screen for ages and I had to reinstall the app, all this on an S9+. Please.

Lousy and troublesome. Once can't , have to find at least two friends to my to again. That means have to go all the way to meet my friends in order to get it done. What if my friends are busy and staying very far away from me? Really troublesome. Lousy. After clearing data storage for a few times, can't anymore. Staffs in WeChat didn't reply to fix this problem either. Sooner or later might Uninstall this app.

Notifications are unreliable. Very often I need to open the app to see that I have received new messages or the notifications might arrive few hours later. I tried to unrestrict battery setting but immediately it tanks my battery and shoot up to top 3 battery consuming app even though I haven't even used it in that few hours so I have to change it back to Balanced setting. It's also using a lot of storage, like 3GBs. Just seems like a very bloated app that doesn't function well.

Been using this app for the past 2 years or 3 with no problems until the past year when my notifications don't seem to appear on my notification bar. I kinda believed that wechat would fix the problem soon and patiently waited for the patch until right now the problem seems to persist. So Wechat please fix this problem soon and i hope to be able to go back to using the app I love.

Sometimes we find good apps, then you've got apps that try too hard to be good but fail, WeChat is the latter. got locked out for no reason and no specific reason given, each time asking me to request friend to help with verification… Developer, I just started using the app, where do I find friends to help me with it. Please be smart about it, your market penetration here is also not enough for you to be deploying such obxious way of verification.

used to work very well until the recent update. After making a wechat call, the icon permanently appears on top of the phone telling you a voice call is active. When you touch the icon, it tries to call the other person again. Only way to get rid of the icon is restarting the phone. What a basic and amateur bug for the largest chat platform in China. The developers should be ashamed!!!

Drain battery in the background without internet. Very bad citing to a message to reply. Card service, address region no international selection, have to search. deleted chat pictures, still can be found in .nomedia. voice print not working when app launch, only after . Super lousy app, lousy security, ban people for no reason. Silly idea on porting over to next phone via wifi where usually the old phone is already traded-in. Whatsapp is better.
