The authors have decided to start making money on their app. Fair enough, but they have chosen the wrong method. Wringing the s' arms won't do them much good. In the past, it was possible to as many maps as you wanted in the free version. Now you have to buy . The free version is limited to 5 or 6. I don't exactly how many, because I have uninstalled the app. I am not their customer. Already found another app.

It was the best app since 2013. But in 2024 everything changed: -the app became slow on navigation. -takes time to refresh favorites marker on the map. - when you zoom , it takes a lot of time even if you have wifi connected with optical fiber. It is clear that the devellopement teams killed the performance of the app during last year. I just uninstalled V15 , and ed an old version of APK from google.

Really useful, especially while hitchhiking. A navigation function would be appreciated, but still does the job without it. The maps are extremely precise. EDIT: After using this app for 10 years I'm switching to another one. The UI quality has degraded over the years, the business plan is very aggressive and as a former pro I've lost all of my data since it switched to a yearly/monthly plan, ads have become a nuisance, I'm done with this app. Sincerely, a fellow app dev.

Maps.me WAS my favorite app for travelling for a long time and I recommended it to all my followers/friends. But since it had the paid version, many features were removed from the free version. The UI is now complicated and not friendly. Information about the height of a trail is false. It is not anymore usable. I tried Organic Maps and love it as much as maps.me before being ruined. I can even marked points from Maps.me. Very sad to say goodbye to Maps.me, but you lost your way.

I use this app since years. I love the precision of the maps and the navigation for hiking. Concernig the navigation by car, a lot of progress remain needed. By bike, normally it works except one time, when the app recommended me to follow a national road without cyclable way beside. Finally, something that i hate is when i'm looking for a place or a district,the firsts results are really often hostel and apartments to rent and there is no option to disable this even with the version.

Thanks for fixing for the issues caused by update on 22/08/18. I was a bit cautious about installing this latest update after having to roll back to an earlier version but this one works perfectly. Once again, this is definitely the best map app available, and, unlike Google, whose response is "sorry but hard luck" when they break something, you actually listened and fixed the app.

It was my favorite app for maps. I understand the need to have a paid version. But somehow they managed to destroy the app, which is very obvious with the free version and the comments. I deleted the app. The good thing is that I had to look for another app and I found organic maps that is free and better than maps.me has ever been. Bye bye.

I used to recommend this app to everyone I knew, because I found it so easy and great to use while travelling, expecially for walking, but not anymore. I was very dissapointed with my recent experience with Maps.me. It regulary provided us with indirect routes, and often provided different routes when a same destination was entered on separate occasions. There were several times when a destination could not even be found when searched.
