New update, same old problems. Like most others I can no longer read any of the comments on each article. Worked in the past, but an update broke it months ago and new updates haven't fixed it. Why? Just a spinning red wheel. Pointless.

This latest update has made a big difference to the app, great improvement and much better experience when using it. The comments section, which hardly worked at all before the update, is now spot on. We'll done👏

As with everything else produced by the Liverpool Echo this app is rubbish. How, in 2024, they have created a NEWS app that doesn't have a search function is beyond me. It's as if they're intentionally trying to make accessing information as difficult as possible. But then again, what else can you expect from an outfit that consistently churns out clickbait masquerading as journalism? The sheer uselessness of this app is a perfect reflection of the Echo's general approach to news.

Cannot read the comments on stories. They do not load and a red spinning wheel remains constant. Comments are also not available on the ordinary website outside of the app. But people are still managing to somehow make comments. They're just unreadable for me.

Full of tracking cookies, I've had 1447 attempts in the last week tying this app out. Attention to detail in articles they write is poor, for example, the obituary section is appalling, most of the obituarys have the names of the deceased missing. Especially as you to get lower down the article. They will repeat photos by adding them to other obituaries for some reason. Meaning a picture of John in a piece about Martha. This goes on through out the articles. Very poor.

Was a great app until last update. The screen is not scrolling down to accept cookies and therefore can't use the app any more !!! Please fix this issue.
