The app is for LA, yet other counties have this station as their "local" channel, but are never discussed or if they are, it is in a derogatory way. The final straw was the weather alerts listed on the app over the holiday... the inland area was not listed at all, even though they had the same alerts as LA, Orange County & Ventura. The disrespect of a huge area is rampant by this station, and it could be deadly for those who rely on this station for its news through their app.

The same stories show up over and over as I scroll through. There are only a handful that show up compared to the abc7 site. For some reason, the share option/icon has been removed, so I can't even forward the story to someone else or post it anywhere. The app is so outdated compared to other news apps.

I can't stand the new format. If it ain't broke, break it??? Update: So after using the app for a few months, I took it from 2 stars down to 1. I get notifications of interesting stories, however when I click the link a blank window opens every time. I go to the app itself to view the story and scroll and scroll and scroll, then give up when it's not there. If your target audience is people with the attention span of an ant, you've hit the mark perfectly.

This is my fourth review in 6 years. This app continues to have major problems. When clicking on the front window notification it goes to a blank a screen within the app. Presumably it's loading the page, but the page stalls out. Frustrating! Great news station but Disney is (apparently) cheaping out. I have nearly given up on this app. Please simplify this app to make it work better. Samsung note 9 and 3xl. Don't blame the hardware.

I like the app. Easy to use and always up to date. I like being able to keep tabs on local news when I am away from home. However it is annoying to open a story that I would like to read only to have a Jack-in-the-box and blare out at full volume. If I scroll down just to read the story, the ad just starts over. If I want to view the video, fine; I will just let it play. But if I just want to read the item the ad ought to go away or at least mute out.

The app videos take forever to load over 4g. I have a brand new phone and it does it on my other phone as well. Some of the people writing the stories dont re-read their article and i find errors all the time. Please learn proper grammar and pronunciation. Just about ready to delete the app. Also as the news, they tend to lean a certain way when I believe their stories should be neutral. Your the news, not judges. Bring the news. Not what you think is right or wrong. Again that's my opinion.

Way too many commercials. They don't let you skip ad. News feed will freeze or cut off in the middle of the feed, and start over. This app used to work well and have less commercials. When you try to watch breaking news, it won't play at all since the last update. The play button and live button just have the spinning circle that never stops.

The news on the app is fine, the problem is the advertising. No matter how short the video accompanying a story is there is almost always a 30-second ad that plays before every single one. I spend more time watching their ads than I do watching the actual news. I understand they need to use ads to generate revenue, but the amount and frequency is pretty absurd compared to other competitive news applications from the area. It just kills the experience and makes it impossible to get news quickly.
