Update: Found the problem - the app only works for mmol units, not mg/DL. How incredibly useless is that? Seriously. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Got a Verio Flex meter today. Bluetooth connects fine on the OS level, but the app never recognises the already paired device. Filed a request with the manufacturer, giving all technical details (I am IT Systems Engineer), got a call back with a person asking me to go through basic pairing, like I were a novice . No avail. Rubbish app! Fix the BT communication! Actually, never mind. I will get another meter. Different brand of course.

The app works well enough. Interface is meh. App always requires sync to before anything happens, which slows it down. Bluetooth connection is finicky; I can sync meter to phone, but it isn't seamless and requires a little bit of gymnastics to work. HUGE downside is that apparently, data doesnt export to Google Fit in USA at all. THIS NEEDS TO BE FIXED TO MAKE THIS APP WORTHWHILE.

The initial setup worked fine. However, a day later, the app failed to sync with my Samsung phone. I un synced the One Touch Verio Flex, then changed the battery in the One Touch, and here we are, still with synching issues. Type 2 diabetes and insulin dependent here. I chose this route of monitoring as the Freestyle Libre sensor frequently gives false highs, and the adhesive on the Libre I'm allergic.

It's actually pretty nice to be able to get the trending Blood Sugars. Even though my A1C is awesome. This is a New meter for me so I'm still trying to figure it out. Not sure this hole unit and app. are worth the hassle. I am having to reboot the app atleast once a week. Completely having to try pairing 3 or 4 times before it pairs. I'm so angry and discouraged with this Verio system. Errrrrrr.. Update 11/24 This Verio Flex is Completely Useless. The Bluetooth isn't working At All.

This app is SUPER buggy. It cannot connect to the meter at least 35% of the time & it's always, ALWAYS syncing with my online (as in it doesn't want to function in any other way). The "3 in a row is a trend" thing is quite annoying & you can't shut it off. Time-frames are also dumb and I have to change manually. And how, after over 30 years of having these devices are they not now integrated with more features & lifestyle apps? Just seems silly that it's all so basic & low-tech.

It won't allow me to five it ZERO stars. It rarely syncs with my phone. It has become a struggle at a time when I don't need the hassle! EVERYTHING is updated and has fresh batteries! I have done everything I know to do. Customer service is nonexistent. At this point, it is an WORTHLESS device. I have several containers of useless test strips! Don't waste your time or money! RUN don't walk away from this brand!

The app is good for reading your glucose levels, but it doesn't show you what a good reading is and what is not. It should have some sort of graph that shows what range you're in based on your current reading. Also, it would be nice if it directed you to some sort of nutritional page indicating which foods are good to eat and which are not based on your current readings. Anyway, this page is good just for reading and tracking your blood sugar.

Update... app is still trash a year later. It never syncs when it's supposed to. I have to force close the app and turn off my meter and restart then both at least 3x before it will connect and sync data. It's really annoying and if I weren't a tech savvy person it would be unusable. I can't imagine an elderly person being able to figure out how to get their meter to sync with all these bugs. Crashes repeatedly. Lame.
