DentalMonitoring is designed to help dental professionals monitor the evolution of their patients’ orthodontic treatments remotely, between in-practice appointments. This app is infuriating to use. First the scanbox attachment doesn't fit my new Pixel 8. It appears to be designed for an iPhone. App UI is clean, but the scan process is really frustrating. The green box scan targeting is virtually impossible to hit on some steps. There are many things that could be improved. AVOID IF POSSIBLE. Certainly don't pay over $200 for the monitoring service like I did. Find another way.

Not a fan so far. The device used to get photos with this app wasn't created to work universally with all phones so the light on my Pixel sits on the outside instead illuminating my teeth as it's supposed to. Therefore, I keep getting the scans rejected. Not happy, they should warn you ahead of time that you need an iPhone to make this work well.

It's not the easiest to do, and it asks you to take the aligners out for 1st few scans, then put them in for more. Since it's a pain to remove them and insert them, it would be better to start with scans that have aligners in. That would save one time of taking them out.

Great app, my doctor keeps a close eye and let's me know my progress with my aligners, thanks to this app. No more wondering if everything is moving ok. If I have any doubts, questions or concerns I can easily communicate with my doctor through this app. The photos are clear, and quick to take. Step by step on directions. Shows your progress from beggining to where you are with your movements. Great app!! Great technology.

I have to use this on a very old phone (the scanbox doesn't fit my current one, and I've traded in my previous two phones). It was laggy and crashed occasionally, but I recognize that using very outdated hardware is my problem, not the apps. However, the app recently updated and is now so much smoother and completely stable. I am very impressed!

Using this makes proceeding through Invisiline much easier than the first time through Invisiline. My new orthodontist recommended using this app and now they can check alignment progress without the commute and appointments for in-office visits. This would make it 5 stars. The only drawback is the bracket that holds my phone for the camera work tends to press the Samsung 22 right on the sound and power button. This makes the app jumps out to the home screen and the scan has to repeat.

I really don't like that for one I can't send a message to my provider after they review my scans. But I also don't like the order in which we take photos. We have to take them out and then stick them back in. Every time, my "provider" states that they could fit better. Well I am not going to have an amazing fit after removing them and sticking them back in for the next set of photos. It should be with aligners in, and then without.

Really helpful to be able to sign up more than one device. I get the same notices my son (invisalign patient) gets. It's easy to communicate directly to the orthodontist through the app - more timely that email. I also appreciate being able to see the scans and watch my son's smile change over time. Seeing the progress - even over one month - is gratifying for both of us and encourages him to stay dilligent with his aligners.
