DOT Tickets app is developed and owned by Din Offentlige Transport (DOT). DOT is a partnership between the traffic companies DSB, Movia and Metroselskabet to help create a better and more cohesive public transport system on Zealand, Lolland, Falster and Møn.DOT Tickets app makes it easy to buy tickets and monthly es for journeys on Zealand, Lolland, Falster and Møn.
You can purchase tickets by entering your place of departure and arrival, either in the form of a stop, address, or place. You can also pick the zones you wish to travel from and to on the map. The 2-8 zones fast purchase is relevant for you, if you know how many zones you need from where you are. You can use that feature, if you give the app your permission to localization (GPS) so that the app can determine your start zone. Giving your permission to localization, which is voluntary, can also help you determine your location on the map versus your ticket’s validity area.
Monthly es can be purchased by entering your place of departure and arrival. You can also pick the zones manually on the map if you travel between 2 and 8 zones.

Payment in DOT Tickets app
You can pay with MobilePay or payment cards in DOT Tickets app. You can save your payment card details and access them via Touch ID, Face ID or a PIN code of your choice. In that way, you do not have to enter all card details every time you make a purchase.

Departure boards

Bought two tickets (city for 96 hours) at the airport, saw them on the APP and then the next day, they were gone - not on the app and the emailed receipt does not allow you to recover the tickets. There is no help on the Metro that can help but they do have the resources to check tickets and fine you on any train and at any time. This App is false advertising and should be banned from being used until it is fixed and proven to work.

My wife and I scanned the qr code to pay for a city when we arrived at the airport, we both paid for it and had money taken from our bank s. With the 96 hour appearing in our apps. My wife the next morning when asked for a ticket on the metro opened the app to find no ticket. She then followed the link to the ticket on the email receipt, no ticket showed up. So she was issued a fine at triple the cost of the original ticket and had to buy another ticket. Get paper tickets

Still not sure how you can make an app that runs this bad. No connection on the app, even though in 5g, it has issues. But speedtest net measures 500/500+. Their answer? The speed test must be wrong. And any other point you make from there, is invalid in their mind.

Poor quality app that needs more development but it is required if you want to quickly use electronic public transport tickets in Copenhagen. The underlying issue is the Copenhagen public transport zoning that appears to be overly complicated to non-indigeous travellers. As a tourist the app's destination planner doesn't accept common attractions (Christiansborg Palace) and entering the actual address presented a long list of addresses that might be the right one :-(

Great app! Easy to use and locate and select routes. One thing as a tourist that would be nice would be to see the "journey details" after you have purchased tickets. Right now you have to screen shot or memorize where to walk / switch metros and/ or how many stops etc it seems.

Unusable. There's nowhere to enter my SMS code. It says bad connection, but this is not true, since I got the code SMS and internet is working perfectly. And you'll quickly run into "too many attempts" and have to wait some 20 minutes. That's when you'd give up.

Bad app. Can't search locations easily, search results don't correspond to any keyword searches. Can't fast buy any tickets even after entering all details including payment card. Can't buy tickets on board buses either unless you have physical cash. Avoid ing this, as it likely has shut down and isn't maintained.
