Control your grill from your phone
Tastiness is only a tap away! Use the Camp Chef app to connect to your WIFI/Bluetooth enabled pellet grill. You’ll be able to set and monitor temperatures, adjust smoke levels, and shut down your grill from your mobile device.


Monitor your cook
Actively monitor the temperature of your grill and meat probes on your phone. Set and enable pop-up notifications for grill timers or once meat probe goal temperatures have been met. Have the ability to connect and monitor your grill from anywhere, as if you were standing beside your grill.


Your data stored on all your devices
By creating an through the Camp Chef app, your grill’s cook data is available to you at all times on all your mobile devices. Seamlessly switch between multiple Camp Chef grills. Historical cook graphs (coming soon) will allow you to view the results of a specific cook over time. How is this app still so terrible? After a year of use it still has multiple problems. Notifications don't work when the probe is showing the set reading. Constantly have to force close and reopen app to get correct temperature information. Connectivity issues, like I tell it to shut down on my phone and it says that it is/does but I check my grill an hour later and it's still running. Come on Camp Chef. You normally make such great products. Figure this out.

Update: temp button causes a crash.. Overall, a good experience with the app. I would like a more robust notification when the probe temp approaches its goal temp. Maybe a pop-up notification or a unique notification sound. Although I've paired the phone and grill many times, it asks to be paired again frequently. Also, what does the heart symbol in the upper right corner mean? There is no symbol key or footnote telling the .

Why in 2025 do you have to uninstall and reinstall the app every time you use the grill? Connection is unstable from 10 feet away. Glitches: programmed temps dissappear, notifications show up about 50% of the time through the cook, randomly shows the temperature is 2573 and in shutdown mode. If you exit out the the app it probably takes a minute to reconnect to the grill, then another minute to show the temperatures.

Graphs dont work. Connectivity is always in question. I thought for sure didn't have the latest app. Sure, do. It hasn't been updated since dec 2013. So your telling me you don't have an app developer. That should be in your marketing, so I know will be terrible. Obviously, it was a terrible app experience. Great grill with the exeption of the pid and the app.

I'd love to see tempatuer probe alarms that are a loud, persistent alarm like the timer alarm instead of the one single ding. It's an easy to miss alert and could easily mess up an all day ($$$) cook. Since you refuse to fix the temp probe being wrong on the hardware side (xxl pro), integrate an adjustment within the app so I can calibrate everything against my thermoworks probes. Grilla Grills does this, why can't you!? Fix these 2 things, and hardware and software both get 5/5 stars.

Not sure what happened with the newest update. I've reinstalled the app several times and I am unable to connect and set up wifi. App closes repeatedly. My grill temperature on the app says 2573 all the time. Will not send signal for probes either. Camp chef....please get a functional update for this app. one of the reasons I purchased your product is for the ability to control my grill while away. Total bummer I cant do that now, especially with football season going on. Zero stars!

Buggy, menu logic is clunky, app or maybe the controller is slow to update. Sometimes, temp readings on app dont even match what's showing on the grill so i have to restart app. The timer function doesn't work. You set timer, hit Save then the app just closes lol. Also, in the FAQ section, if you type into the search bar to search key words for questions similar to yours, the text is white - with a white background - so you don't see wth you are typing. Pls fix. I really want to like this app..

I haven't had the connectivity issues that others have. It connects fine and is stable and reliable. I do have a WiFi router on the other side of the wall from the grill. The app is just clunky. Takes too many clicks to do things. I get a notification, but I can't click on it to take me to the app. So I open the app, and have to dive through menus to get to my active session. It would be great to have an active notification that showed the status of all the probes and takes you to your session.
