This is not a complaint about any cottage but the app and company in general. It is impossible to Sykes if like us have had an urgent need to them. Regarding our holiday. The phone line only gave information to use the app to communicate and that was a AI what's app messaging service that is completely useless. Won't use company again and will not recommend. Avoid if you can.

We have stopped in Sykes Cottages many times. In all times except the most recent (Nov/ Dec 2023) we haven't had any real problems. The most recent time, however, we did have a problem, and it is only then that you find out what a holiday company is really like. When we arrived at our holiday cottage in the dark on a Saturday evening, we had a problem. We phoned Sykes 1st thing Sunday, who said they would call back. They never did. We called again to no avail. Problem was never solved. Not good.

The app has been giving me an error for the past few days 'response code failure' - at first I thought it was for one particular cottage but it's all of them. Before now I've found this app easy to use. Edit: after logging out, uninstalling and reinstalling the app is working normally again.

Already booked but the constant updates and offers to book a holiday and what you could win are a bit much, I would prefer less and would wait until I have my holiday until I book another anyway. Although it is handy to know the new Cottages or areas I would rather use the App to find out when I'm ready, otherwise a good site and look forward to booking again as there are so many possibilities.
