Feature 1: Browse Torikumi and special featured videos as much as you want, no limits!
Watch all Makuuchi, Juryo(Include Makushita last 5) Torikumi videos (approx. 600/basho) in near real-time, and browse historic Makuuchi Torikumi going back to the May 2010 Honbasho.
Ordinarily, you are limited to browsing special videos for like someone's Hatsudohyo between Basho and famous Torikumi once a day, but now that limit is uncapped.

Great app for stats and past tournament results. Match videos aren't great. They are from one camera angle only. Many times they zoom in way too close on one wrestler during tachiai. No multiple angle replays. One of the main reasons I subscribed to this app was for same day match videos. There shouldn't be any reason that 3rd party internet videos would be better, but they are... 😕

I like the app but I have a problem with the videos of bouts not playing. They'll be playing fine for a while and then all of a sudden none of them will play. I've restarted my phone, made sure the app was updated, uninstalled and reinstalled the app. I might be able to play videos for a while again if im lucky, but the same problem arises. I'm paying for the subscription too. It's not worth paying if the videos don't play tho. Hopefully its a bug that can be fixed because I really love this app

EDIT: Being able to favorite matches would be fantastic. Great app. Definitely worth using paid as the access to older matches is the greatest feature of the app. The personalization as far as following your favorites is appreciated, however what would improve things and really make it perfect would be the ability to create your own playlists or to at least autoplay certain match days. The thing I find most frustrating is having to navigate around just to watch 2 matches with the same wrestler.

If you live in the US, your options for sumo are dodgy illegal streams, NHK recaps with days of delay, or this app. Which makes it all the more baffling that you can't avoid spoilers. Any match you want to see, reached by any method the app makes available, will show the winner flagged in red before you even watch. No other sports watching app would do this. If they fix it, I'll be a subscriber for life. As is, I'll probably cancel at the end of the month.

The addition of ads really ruined the app. It was already mediocre with only 1 playback a day but now to watch a 30 second ad to watch a 2 min bout seems pretty excessive. If the subscription fres were more reasonable I'd consider the paid version but it costs as much as a streaming service that has diverse content.

App no longer functions. It opens to the logo screen, and that's all it does. So I've pretty much had enough of this app, and I'm uninstalling it, because you devs just can't seem to maintain it properly. I guess even Japan has incompetent people.

Matches and results close to real time, not much in the way of the preambles but good for the bouts. Includes down through all jury fights and the top four makushita. Unfortunately it does tell you straight up who won, so no surprises. Other info on stables, rikishi histories, and bashos going back over ten years. Helps us foreigners (you can set the language) to keep up to date.

Would rate this app higher, but while trying to become a paying member by redeeming Google Play gift card I receive an error message declaring that ,"code can only be used in the United States." Come on guys at Grand Sumo, I cannot be the only American who has run into this problem! Now I am stuck with a $50 Google Play card that I cannot receive a refund. You really screwed over this sumo fan.
