Great app, but I knocked a star off for the poor offline . If I'm cycling or walking in a remote area without mobile service, even an old forecast is better than no forecast. Yet, if I put my phone in airplane mode and close the app, when I reopen it everything displays "no data," even if it just had forecasts loaded 10 seconds before. There's no reason not to cache forecasts until new forecasts are ed, especially since there's already a warning about forecasts being out of date when the phone is without signal.

Love the new met office app. Clean lines and good information. Seems to historically still be the most accurate weather forecast in the world. Regardless of location the Met Office staff still seem to be the experts at true forecasting when other weather feeds are reactionary and change outlook constantly. Experienced staff at the Met Office outplay the mass media and other weather apps everytime.

A good weather app & is pretty accurate. I see people saying it changes frequently and have taken a star or two off for that which imo is a bit strange as it's prediction service for the British weather! Yes it can change quite often especially when there is a severe weather event but if it didn't that certainly would be commented on. I like being able to have the forecast for several places available quickly alongside each other and having weather warnings on notifications.

Generally I find the forecast for the next day or two accurate and reliable. Further ahead, less so. I find the maps, especially for the current day, very helpful. The cloud cover feature of the maps is particularly useful. I have several weather apps on my phone, and this one is the best, in my view.

This app is pretty useless when it comes to the local weather overview. The daily summary will often show completely different weather from the hourly summary. And whilst it's a probability based prediction, the weather shown almost always changes in the space of 48hrs prior to the day. Worst still it will show sunshine when it's actually raining. The most reliable part is the rain map, that is usually the most accurate at predicting the weather. Happy to provide screenshots to the developers.

Far preferred the previous version - which was much more functional.. This one is clunky; you need to go through page after page to find what you want, and then you find its not there any more. A real step backwards. Newer version is now functioning well. As accurate as any forecast can be - and sufficient detail available to satisfy those with more than a ing understanding of meteorology.

App functions well, and includes a good amount of info. Latest update has seen the numbers grow so appear disproportionately large compared with the rest of the font (temp/winds a bit in your face), so slightly confused by that style choice. Otherwise, a consistantly good app for weather, especially in the UK

Always look at Met Office for the weather, and generally fairly reliable. Dumped BBC weather several years ago, as they were generally very unreliable! Like watching the weather map as that gives a much more specific forecast for individual areas. Like the wind forecast as well. Excellent app. Well done.
