I canceled my season and won't be back due to everything I loved about alamo drafthouse being snuffed out by Sony. Mass layoffs, understaffing, not enough films or showings to make a season worth it, and reduction or total removal of the movie parties, events and film series that I subscribed for. The buyout didn't bring a single improvement to this business, it just ran a beloved chain into the ground.

Love the theater itself, but the whole subscription and policies that go along with it are ridiculous and will probably end up making me cancel. To start there is nothing convenient about the convenience fee. I pay for a monthly subscription to see movies and you still charge multiple fees on top of the subscription. And you are forced to pay the convenience fee for booking in the app, and there is no option to buy tickets at the actual theater and avoid this fee. It is also non refundable

While they fixed my previous gripes, they've added one more since reopening. Now if you order menu items though the app, your REQUIRED to leave a tip before your can complete your transaction. I ALWAYS tip, even for mediocre service. This shouldn't be a requirement especially when you don't even know if they'll have the item by the time you get there. I've actually been to an Alamo where they ran out of popcorn of all things. Let people decide at the theater how much they'd like to tip.

This app is great and the alamo is a great idea. The reason I'm giving it 1 star is because you have to pay a 4 dollar ($3.90 to be exact) service fee every time you want you see a movie with your movie . If I see unlimited movies every day of the month I'll be paying roughly an extra $120 which seems wild to me, as well as many others I've talked to. Once that changes I'll change review entirely.

Ever since the reopening of the alamo drafthouse ( which I'm ecstatic about ), the app doesn't work. Before the closing of the alamo drafthouse, the app worked flawlessly. I'm not sure if all they have to do is flip a switch, but plz fix it. The only reason I'm giving this a 1 star is in hopes someone on the corporate side sees this and gets this resolved.

I have encountered problems with the app a few times. I still give it 4-stars though because the Alamo staff, both in-person and their online help, quickly worked to rectify the situation each time. Other than that, it has an easy to use UI and it gives you the ability to order your food in advance. I love the season . I use it multiple times a week.

The theater itself is 5 stars, but the app leaves much to be desired. Even though they have a " us" link, it just takes me to my local theater. It is a full-time job just to anyone. I have a season and it just DISAPPEARED from my phone and I can't get it back! If I go to the season page it just prompts me to buy one. When I do it says I already have one, but there's no way to get the app. When I click on my tickets it says I need the app and sends me back to buy a !

Horrible Filter - the latest update still doesn't filter properly (ex: by date, location, or type of film). The previous version was way better. If season cancel a ticket, we do not get a refund of the convenience fee. But, as season , we can only book tickets via the app. This is not fair & a reason to cancel the hip. If Alamo cannot refund us the convenience fee, then we should at least have the option/control to change our tickets/showtimes via the app.
