Using the app is easy:
- Install
- to your Wikimedia (if you don't have an , create one for free at this step)
- Select 'From Gallery' (or the picture icon)
- Select the picture that you wish to to Commons
- Enter a title and description for the picture
- Select the license that you wish to release your picture under
- Enter as many relevant categories as possible
- Press Save

The following guidelines will help you to understand what photos the community is looking for:
✓ Photos that document the world around you - famous people, political events, festivals, monuments, landscapes, natural objects and animals, food, architecture, etc
✓ Photos of notable objects that you find in the Nearby List in the app
✖ Copyrighted pictures
✖ Photos of you or your friends. But if you are documenting an event it doesn't matter if they are in the picture
✖ Photos of poor quality. Make sure the things you are trying to document are visible on the picture

I really like the idea and want to use the app, but it is unfortunately very unstable. In the past I had issues with ing and losing data (so I had to fill again), nowadays I can't click "nearby" without the app crashing. If you can use it, I recommend it, but test a while before spending too much time filling data, just in case.

Unusable, uninstalled immediately. I can see why this has fairly poor reviews. The "Contributions" section is terribly designed: full-width images with title text over them instead of thumbnails. Tapping to open one instead shows a full-height portion of the image that can't be scrolled across nor zoomed out of. Basically, it's a pain to see what you've ed and impossible to see a whole image unless you open it in the browser.

I loaded hundreds of pic with this but it became unreliable some years ago. It's fixed and better than ever. It makes a good choice of creating file titles, descriptions and categories and it's wikidata aware. much More than I expected. I like that it re your recent choices and saves a lot of retyping. .... Six stars when you can choose existing pics on wiki commons to add to a location so that you can add missing pics to wikidata monuments and buildings.

I've enjoyed using this app to contribute so far. It does have some stability issues when trying to find and navigate to locations on a poor signal, I'd like to ideally be able to cache an area ahead of time, save one or more photos for each of the locations locally, then have an option to later (when I'm back on wifi).

Being able to photos to Wikimedia Commmons from my phone makes all the difference. I take most of my photos with my cellphone's camera and, somewhat embarrassingly, the extra step of transferring them to my computer has been a hurdle in ing. A rapidly improving app with a hard-working development team.

No option to rotation or cropping. Tect over lay obscures the image and makes it difficult to read any texts or details of the image, some times the categories dont appear. 50% of the time the doesn't happen and no reason is displayed. If the changes the app while is happening 100% failure of s. Please fix the bugs. App not detecting geo location of the photos taken with mobiles. Shows something else instead

The app crashes each time you try to a picture. I have tried both from Gallery and from the app and each time the app crashes. This is very frustrating. Reading earlier reviews one gets to know that this is a recurring issue a d still hasn't been rectified. Very disappointing, indeed.

I can't to see my archivements(eternal load), "review a image" not show the information need to review, "explore" show images cut. Each image show a button to nominate to deletion . this application try to do severals things however anything right. Very buggy, limited, it feel like beta, I can't tu see any improve in comparison with the web version, my recommendation is try developer well the functionality of a picture using the map and forget all the functions that are not working well.
