Compared to google discover and samsung free this app gives me news updates of quality, I enjoy the bite size summaries for a quick update every morning. Interface and navigation on the app is simple and direct and love the fact that it changes with regions, such as when travelling itll update to show you local news.

Great for a source of instant and happening news but too many internal and external adverts. Samsung use to supply the upday app specifically for Samsung phones but that's now been discontinued so you have to use the non Sammie version which pumps you full of ads. Sammie version would also ask you for cookie preferences for literally every new article source you want to read as they want to mine your data in the background.

I have a Samsung and Upday is integrated with Bixby Assistant. I've used Upday News for some time, my previous phone being a Samsung, and it was great. Now though the ads have been taken to a whole new level with some popping up with sound and automatically closing your navigation . You having to flick upwards on screen to get it back and close the app quickly before the ad goes full screen again. It was a great app but now it's just been ruined with intrusive, sometimes offensive, ads.

Can't be removed from my Samsung device. For some reason just gives me the British news, eventhough I don't live in the UK, and there doesn't seem to be any option to change preferences, if you don't anyway, which I don't care for doing. Fine, some foreign news once in a while is not that bad, but now you get SCREAMING ads popping up after a random article!!! Not awkward at all if you're in a public space... If you must invade my phone, at least keep the ads to just images.

It's good, and up to date with the latest headlines from many media outlets. However, it loses a star because I still get headline notifications from some media outlets that I wouldn't touch with a barge pole and which I have indicated to the app I don't want to hear from. If the app continues to ignore my settings I'll be uninstalling it in favour of an alternative. Edit: thanks for the reply. I (i.e. the customer) should always have the choice of what appears in my feed, particularly when it includes articles from publications I wouldn't use as toilet paper. From your reply, it appears you are intent on willfully ignoring and denying me that choice. I therefore choose to uninstall your app.

Half of the news articles won't open at all. It says the headline but when clicking on it, it comes up blank and if I scroll down, it only shows the first 3 articles. I will be looking for another news app. First it was endless ads, now unusable/unopenable headlines. Very disappointing. I have uninstalled and reinstalled several times to no avail. Will not be recommending. Great set up and idea, very poor execution.
