This app used to be really good, but it seems to be lacking in some control features. I constantly look at my phone for the temperature during the day and now it has gotten so small, I can't see it without putting my glasses on. When the update first happened, I was getting all kinds of notifications that I didn't want and it was very hard to figure out how to turn them off. It needs to be more friendly.

It's not at all the same weather app that it was while Tom Skilling was still the meterologist; the reporting has lost its charm, appeal, and character and is now just a dry and bare-bones recitation of facts, data, and statistics, much like the similarly soulless Orthodox Presbyterian Church.

I always loved this app. It always seems pretty accurate. However, it has started constantly sending me notifications of the current weather which is very annoying to me. I want severe weather notifications, but I don't need it to tell me it is sunny or cloudy outside. I wish I could figure out how to change this, but notification settings don't seem to allow me to change that. UPDATE: getting ready to uninstall this app. The constant notifications is getting old. WGN please fix this app

Great weather app. Although I just updated to a Galaxy S24/Android 14with the most recent Android OS update and 1 issue persosts - radar loop animations sometimes are for a 4-hour period and move smoothly. Other times the loop is just 1 hour & looks jerky. My device will definitely handle the longer animations, can I please have that all the time?

It used to be the best weather app to use because how accurate the radar was and it and the alerts were always before the weather got ugly. Now the radar is a joke because the it will show you a time the storm should be hitting your area and next thing you know it the storm hits hours earlier. The alerts come after the storms hits where you're at and the storm is probably halfway over when you get it.. WGN has gone to 💩 over the past 15 years.

I used to be able to swipe down to see what the current temperature is. Hands-free driving, right? Now it's just a tiny box that tells whether it's cloudy, sunny, etc. I want the temperature back.

This used to be my go-to weather app. It no longer is. Since an update a few months ago, the "follow me" feature no longer works. If you choose "follow me" it shows a loading screen, then just defaults to whatever city it chooses. In addition, you are no longer able to use any function of the app until you click back and forth, prompting a full screen ad to pop up. Once you click exit on the ad, you can use the app. Why can't you just use banner ads at the bottom like everybody else?

I can no longer see what the high temp was for the day. It would appear to me that once it hits the high, the app only shows two dashes (- -) then the expected low temp. As a weather junkie, this is a major turn off. Everything else is great. Update 1.25.21 The predictions have been WAY too off. I'm uninstalling. They used to be the best IMO.
