Great followup to original merchant game. However, there certainly is need for some more endgame content, so to say. Some expanded regions and enemies to fight would be most ideal, as well as a prestige system for heroes. Perhaps furthering allowing skills to be improved / a "prestige" for the special skills themselves. Would be nice to battle against enemies seen in the original game... I.e the lava region with demons, the water region with turtles. Where are these? Goblins, the undead skeleton

It's a high quality tactical RPG, and a good idle RPG too, but there are a few flaws that hold it back from 5-star; the game will not flip when upsidedown, you cannot have more than one save-slot, and the '🔁' button leads to more menus than necessary to repeat last activity. I'd gladly give the game a perfect rating if these minor shortcomings were removed (I'd remove the '🔁' issue first, then save issue, then the screen flip issue).

A great follow up to Merchant with much more involved gameplay. Instead of sending heroes on dungeon runs after upgrading their equipment as the titular Merchant, now you have control over the runs in the form of turn based battles. You still focus on getting materials, some of which are rare drops, and crafting better gear for your heroes as they level up, but there is added depth to the selling of old gear as well as customizing heroes who can duel-class and chose which abilities to equip.

So far so good. New to the series as a whole. Wish it explained things a bit more. I wouldn't of used 5k gold for a 4th party member had I know I could only use 3 at a time. Didn't notice until a bit into the game you can also level up shop exp, how fast things sell, and how much you get etc. But other than those I'm enjoying the game.

Actually not bad, very engaging gameplay, creative presentation, rather solid gameplay where knowing your adventurers is key. The only thing, and it isn't really bad, is the animation, the retro-looking art style is awesome and the characters deserve better and more varied animations.

Pretty decent game, like anything else in the world it needs more work, but for what you get from the game as of this review, it's fun and enjoyable to play. If you enjoy D&D, you'll probably like this game. Art reminds me of darkest dungeon to an extent, gameplay is smooth but also let's for mistakes on the players side. All around good game

For those who played the original Merchant, be warned that this game encourages a more active playstyle than idling. Having said that, I still enjoyed the game. The battles were fun; you had to put some thought into your strategy and not blindly spam skills. I also like having to gather recipes as loot instead of having it automatically unlocked as you level up. My only gripe is that the battles can get repetitive and grindy. Then again, I personally enjoy idling more so I might be biased.

Another unsatisfied veteran of the original Merchant. The short list of areas that are simply upgraded based on hero level means the joy of seeing a new region is gone. Prepping to take down a region boss is gone. Formation, skills, classes, none of it seems to matter anymore. It's as though the game was designed to streamline Merchant and add battles. In the process, the soul of Merchant was lost. Also, I really don't like the UI. Swiping through screens is annoying.
