It's easy to use and mostly pretty good. Some of the split ticketing options are helpful but they don't go far enough. More than one split would be useful and help to catch up with other ticketing apps which do just that. Sometimes all the possible routes aren't covered. I have recommended at least 3 others to the app and they have bought tickets however I never got the £3 voucher for doing so. It would be more helpful if the popular stations list was shorter and the recent one much longer.

TrainPal is my go to for booking UK train tickets and I do recommend or at least say "give it a go" to people which is rare for me. Downside is it can be a bit slow and I assume that ticket details are not stored locally which may speed it up(?). And I can't understand their promotions and offers that pop up at inconvenient times. But as I say "give it a go".

It's certainly worse than it was since 2019! How can it go backwards - but it has. The selection of the train routes and times is decent enough, but the ticketing info sent by mail is incomprehensible! It tells you you're arriving the same time as leaving, the dates can be wrong and split tickets are displayed with inaccurate times... I will think twice ing it next time.

Changed to this app because it does not charge a fee for purchases (UK), and lists more train options than the other train app I was forced to use when the ticket machines (plural) at the station stopped working for a month. The month after that the ticket machines refused to offer return tickets (single only!) if apps start charging a fee I'll got back to driving. It was good to get the new discounts too, thanks.

The Chinese company, TrainPal has no shame. It's Fraudulent and I warn those who use it!! To make this short. I purchased "Cancel for any reason" on my ticket. Later, when I went to cancel it, I was told I can't. This is because my ticket isn't eligible. When I asked them why they offer me "Cancel for any reason" when you can't cancel for any reason. The blame was put back on me as I should have checked the Ts&Cs hidden somewhere separately on their website. Use Trainline. This app will scam!

Search results did not include a train that was running (not a complicated journey & interestingly shows up in their live trains), only found out when my original train was cancelled and looked on national rail app & train line app. I therefore wanted to cancel my ticket, but would have been charged an fee that was half the price of the ticket. No way to someone, apart from the useless chat bot. Utterly disgraceful. I have used and recommend trainpal for many years, but no more.

Purchased a ticket and my booking times were all changed. I requested a refund and all I can get is a voucher for more of their terrible services. Avoid this company and avoid busflix, just buy your tickets directly on the train or from a reputable company. Trainpal is a borderline scam. Also, I still want my money back!

Normally quite a good app. However, recently, I requested refunds via the online chat and was accepted for both. As of nowI have only received one and have been charged a fee on the refund as well (the cheek) while i have not had anything about the second ticket. I won't be using this app anymore for train tickets.
