Subscribed to option for Japanese and Chinese. Tons of lessons, with a very smooth learning curve. Very reasonable price. Stellar customer service (quick and precise answers on technicalities, , words of gratitude...). The app is easy to navigate. Perfect for self-teaching. What's not to like?

i have it since a few years and subscribe for a couple of months every now and then (to learn japanese). The plus point is definitely the quality of their audio course. Short and well designed, they are interesting and eeven most of the time entertaining, thanks to the cool hosts. What I regret is that the cell phone version lacks important features available on the desktop version, mainly the flashcard review and the new sets of audio (the new way they are arranged, going across series).

Content-wise, truly excellent. The dialogue is not full of obnoxious banter, but is friendly, and relevant. I greatly appreciate transcripts and precise levels (upper beginner, lower intermediate). Clearly made by professionals in language education. On the technical front, the app has crashed twice, though. Still quite happy with it though.

I think I've tried every language learning app for my target language ( Japanese ) this was the only platform that had everything I was looking for, flash cards, dialogue practice, worksheets, study books, language teachers, and ways to compare your pronunciation to native speakers. The one caveat is that not all the features are in the app. You do need to use your browser to get things like flash cards and dialogue role play. However I love my experience.

I have just started with the French lesson. Impressed by the way the course is created. We start with real life conversations right from Lesson 1 and for each chunk of language we get a review, vocabulary help, notes, audios, discussions of the language used, opportunity to practice, assessment and more. I am using the free version and am learning a lot.

The lesson format is not good for learning: - In the first 15 minutes, about 12 minutes is spent on the hosts bantering with words you have not learned. - For the vocabulary review, they do not put the words in a sentence for you to speak and learn. - The hosts and dialogues speak too fast to follow. - There is no reinforcement learning (words do not reappear in later lessons). - No practical usage of most of the vocabulary - Each lesson's grammar point are simple, but embedded in 95% new words.

Had issues with the app initially but it has since been fixed so I am changing the review. I feel the lessons can be made more brief as there is a lot of talking when it is really not needed. The same auxiliary sentences are repeated in every lesson. I also really didn't like that in Indonesian language Level 3 lessons the gentleman in the conversations had really no idea how to pronounce Indonesian words and even his companions name correctly.

I've already sent an email & have not received a response. I had signed up using my Google on my laptop, so now I'm unable to sign in on this app. Had I'd known this would be an issue, I would not have chosen my Google . This app is useless to me unless/until someone assists. If this gets resolved, I'll rate the app higher.
