it's o.k. but takes way too long to load articles in each section. much poorer than most newspaper apps.

Very slow at getting big news updates. Often 30min to hours behind other news sources. Articles are also not updated frequently on the app and generally carries the same news stories for weeks at a time. Update Sept 5/23: degraded to 1 star. App has been non functional for days now. When you click on a story it's just black with no text.

I'd give it zero stars if I could. I've used it for years and it was fine. I knew that as a free , I wasn't seeing all the articles or seeing them early, but it was OK. I even considered paying to upgrade but never got around to it. Now, since they want to force you to pay to see ANYTHING, I'm deleting the app and getting my news elsewhere! Calgary Herald, you messed up BAD!!!

Used to be ok. Now read any article and go back and you start at the top and have to scroll again. Frustrating. Also incredibly tired of reading every reporter describe Covid as the "novel Corona virus". It's NOT novel anymore and hasn't been for a long time. No need to try sensationalizing every damn story. They're trying to become the Sun. Uninstalled.

There is something wrong with the app. It takes a long time to load information, much longer than other news apps.

So not only do you now have to wait til the next day, if the story is even loaded to the app, but now you want $15/month for it? Mainstream media is crumbling at the best of times, stuff like this is gonna finish it off. On the flip side, at least you finally gave me the excuse to delete the app from my phone. I mean it's not like I can't google the story and have 15 updated articles to choose from before the story would be loaded on this app anyway. I'd give it 0 stars but that's not an option

It's too bad that with the upgrade you now have to subscribe. I enjoyed reading about calgary news, but there are other app sources to read without subscribing. CH has lost a and I am pretty sure I will not be the only one.

Why aren't you fixing this problem??? People have been complaining for months!! After each article you go back to the top and have to start scrolling again. Can't believe you thought this terrible feature was a good idea to put into one of your recent updates.
