Bíblia Sagrada João Ferreira de Almeida

João Ferreira Annes d'Almeida, ou simplesmente João Ferreira de Almeida (Torre de Tavares, Portugal, 1628 - Batávia, Indonésia, 1691), foi um ministro pregador da Igreja Reformada Holandesa, nas Índias Orientais, reconhecido especialmente por ter sido o primeiro a traduzir a Bíblia Sagrada para a língua portuguesa. A sua tradução do Novo Testamento foi publicada pela primeira vez em 1681, em Amsterdam. Almeida faleceu antes de concluir a tradução dos livros do Antigo Testamento, chegando aos versículos finais do Livro de Ezequiel. A tradução dos demais livros do Antigo Testamento foi concluída em 1694, por Jacobus op den Akker, também ministro da Igreja Reformada em Batávia. Os volumes da tradução do Antigo Testamento em português foram publicados somente a partir do século XVIII, em Tranquebar e Batávia.
