Update: Can you please fix a bug that's causing my "partner" to give points to the opponents when it's not necessary. It seems that just started recently. Thank you. I love the game. Older review: Been waiting for this game. I love it. The app is so easy and I like that it has 2 versions. Update: Its now 5/2021 and STILL love this card game. Please do one for Hearts. 😊 Maelrch 2, 2024 So... love this game but the the bug is still on going so I suppose there are no updates anymore.

I've been looking for a card game called Rook that I played all through HS and college. This is exactly what I was looking for! It also let me set up my own "house rules" which rocks. Excellent game! Update: After playing for weeks the game would not start. I cleared app cache, but still no luck. The Android software gave a message saying the BB code had a bug and to the developer. The only way to continue was to clear app data and basically start over. I lost all modifications.

Used to play Rook with friends and family - this game version (with some of my own rules) is as close to how we played! Love it! I love that there is the option for adding your own twists and character names. Yes, sometimes the AI plays a "stupid" move (like playing a 14 (second highest point card) on the oponent's 1 (Highest point excluding the Rook/BlackBird) even when the next turn they play a non-point card in the same color). But I thoroughly enjoy the game 😁. FYI- I like playing offline.

Decent Rook Substitute. Partner AI needs a lot of tweeking, strategy is odd and sometimes not good. For example, it plays the rook out of turn like a new player would and after several games it doesn't improve or learn. Opposing team plays well though. Outside this, the game allows customizing the rules so I can play tournament rules instead of Kentucky Discard (bidder leads). One thing I would ask for is for 2-4 player or possibly online play with game invite. Playing AI is ok but gets old.

Awesome game for Rook. It is easily customizable to different versions depending on how you play. The only thing is I wish you could change the difficulty of the computers. Sometimes my computer partner makes incredibly bad bids. Also I've recently had some weird glitches recently too. For example I got dealt 2 Green 10s.

Updates : After playing for a several weeks, I've found some logic issues w/ the computer play. It sometimes play 14's randomly on already "lost" plays in other suits. Have also seen it play points on losing stacks, while having other options. Also, my partner just bid 90 on a hand where I don't think he had a card over 10 and had fewer trumps than one of our opponents....not good. 🤨 Still better than most options, but dropping my rating, because logic just doesn't seem completely worked out.

No online multiplayer is disappointing. Game is still fun. Automated partner is next to useless... Update: After playing for about a month, I'd like to give an update. There is no redeal function. Not sure how random the game actually is, seems like every time I on the bid, the other team seems to take every trick. Also pertaining to randomized dealing, the Blackbird (Rook) card is dealt to me maybe 10% of the time. Seems like player to my left or my partner always has the Blackbird.

I used to love playing ROOK with my coworkers at lunch. Been looking for real life ROOK partners or an app for years. I miss 'reading' my partner, but this is a fun approximation. Has all the features of the original from making the bid to strategizing how to take the most tricks. Fairly no frills. They could probably jazz it up, but it has all the key features.
