Although this app is missing some features from the web version, this mobile version of nicovideo (or nico nico douga) is still great. This app also have some new features that the web version (currently) doesn't have. The UI is very intuitive for me despite having used to other mobile video sharing apps. Plus it have some sort of "tutorials" or hints to describe some of its features in case i didn't know about it. For the UX, the app feels very light because it loads contents really quick. Also the ads are not too obnoxious and are usually related to what i am watching. All in all, definitely a 5/5 from me. I look forward for the future updates.

Great app, only issue sometimes crashes. The people complaining there's no English option if you play around with the app for a while you can figure it out in an afternoon as for the site right click, translate, English. I do encourage learning basic words to make it easier for you to use. Please that it is not a multilingual app and not to expect a Japanese app to cater to none Japanese people.

No longer usable, it just opens up to blog posts. I wanted to get back into learning japanese and the entertainment on niconico helped me starting out with getting used to the language, so I reinstalled. Very sad people outside of Japan are no longer able to access this app.

Don't know if it's because the app defaults to North America region, but it seems Japanese comments don't show up at all and there is no setting to change this either - which is quite disappointing. I will switch back to a third party app.

Used to be functional and a good way to practice Japanese, but now every time I open the app it just opens to the blog and upon exiting the entire app crashes. Now I can't really interact with it at all. The website likely still works, but the interface would go from comfortable in app to nightmareish in a phone browser

You don't like that its in japanese? Suck it up butter cup. To me this app is a great way to learn japanese faster and easier as I can learn faster if I listen to people and not AI or other apps lile Duolingo. All I'm saying is use it to learn if you don't understand much

But okay, to the people complaining...from a Half to you: On one hand, I get it; YouTube, Facebook, Twitter, etc. ALL have multiple language options. On the other hand, those are AMERICAN sites where many different cultures live. NicoDouga is JAPANESE & isn't super popular outside of Japan, so the app stays in Japanese. Period. Not being mean but America, Europe & any other English speaking country isn't always gonna be catered to❤️The browser site has English, go there. このアプリを使いたいなら勉強してください😊😊
