Japan Transit Planner-Norikae Annai is a multilingual version of the navigation application "Norikae Annai", the most ed in Japan.
It will show you the route or how to transfer by railways or airplanes in Japan.
It can check the route, the fare, and the required time easily as long as you input the departure station and the destination station.
Besides, you can caculate the accurate required time and the ride time since it contains the timetable of all the stations all over Japan (except for some sections).

Absolutely essential for Japan travel. 500 characters isn't enough to explain how awesome this app is. If you're using Google maps, give this a try and see your transit trip time cut in half. Recommend the subscription too. It's only a few dollars per month, can be canceled, and gives a few extra nice features like trip history.

Claims to filtering by JR and Tokyo metro, but this is not an option in the app. This is available on the iPhone version, so I suspect this is either a bug or problem with the port to Android. Without that filter this app is not useful to me, though the route planning otherwise works well. Please fix the filtering!

It's mostly helpful, but doesn't seem to know about delays as much as Google Maps, and it sometimes seems to over-complicate routes. Even when choosing Fewer Transfers, I've noticed that sometimes it does not actually pick the route with the fewest transfers. Overall it's one of the essential apps for travelling in Japan, though.

The old app was much better. The date and time selector is awful, it's confusing what you are actually setting, the date or the time. Also some translations are not great, for example when setting the time there's a 'decision' button which makes no sense in English. On top of that the ads are extremely annoying and distracting with multiple ads plastered all over your screen at once.

Eh, honestly it's not as good as the old app from the same developer. The previous one was really nice and simple and worked well. But the UI in this one feels very cluttered and messy, and it feels like ads were forced in. I'm really sad the old one has gone. I think it could be as good but the UI definitely needs work. A lot of the English text doesn't fit properly and some of the translation isn't good. The 'F', 'L' and 'E' are not explained anywhere either, it was far clearer in the old app

Still crippled compared to Hyperdia. Hyperdia was the go-to Japan Rail scheduler for more than a decade. Since they lost their license, other mediocre apps have tried to fill the gap and failed. Jorudan is one of those. Limited selection of travel methods & platforms, limited directions and scheduling are all deliberate to encourage a paid subscription. If you want to discourage tourism for your whole country, this is the perfect way to do it!

This app is a total scam. I bought 2 airport limousine bus tickets transporting from Matsuyama Airport to Okaido, Matsuyama. The limousine bus driver would not accept the digital tickets that I had to pay cash. I was trying to plan ahead and save but I ended up being scammed and out 1960 yen.
