Got this app for a dictionary to help me keep fresh on my Spanish. Was sorely disappointed once I encountered the glitches/problems. Sound bytes didn't always play even after hitting the replay button. Word selection froze, requiring an app restart resulting in lost progress in current lesson/quiz. App would freeze during ad requiring a restart resulting in lost progress in the just completed quiz/lesson. I do like the dictionary complete with colloquial definitions.

I found out about this app, because somewhere said you could use it to make flashcards. I haven't tried that yet, but it has been a fantastic resource and learning tool for looking up translations and for the ready-made flashcards. I also haven't tried any of the grammar lessons yet, but I am excited about the potential to try them, Lord-willing.

Really helpful for practicing more advanced Spanish. About 20 years ago I was fluent. I no longer am but most of the apps are geared towards beginners and are way too easy to be helpful. This lets me brush up on tenses I'm not as good at and doesn't make me start over with the basics.

I really like this app when it actually works properly. What I don't like is that when I try to open the app 95% of the time I get a white screen. I then have to go to my email to access the site. Also in many of the quizzes when I go to select my answer the word disappears and can't be selected. I then can't finish the quiz and it counts as my error. It often says my answers are wrong, shows the correct response, but that was my original answer. Overall a big fail! Not friendly!

Very useful. Worth paying for. SD is a great dictionary and thesarus with many usage examples. The grammar tutorials are very well done. At times, the explanations in english are very helpful in understanding the context especially if the context is new. I have used this app to start as a novice and proceed to advanced. I recommend this app on the phone and laptop.

I appreciate this app! It's giving me a taste of Spanish (of which I knew nothing before!) and allows me to learn at my own pace (slow!)... I am mostly interested in speaking Spanish - not in writing it, so while I understand the reasons for emphasizing spelling and correct accent placement, etc., I make so many typos on my phone that it can be frustrating when it won't let me move on until I correct my errors. But I don't let that stop you from ing it to increase your Spanish abilities

No apps get the translations right all the time. This one does a decent job enough of the time. I appreciate the usage examples showing how words are used in context. It can't translate some words from Spanish to English that it CAN translate from English to Spanish. Ex: It knows "priestess" is "sacerdotisa," but it can't translate "sacerdotisa" into English, weirdly. It gets thrown off by single letter typos. I wish it'd offer more than one result for phrase translations, as it does for words.

This app has a lot of great reference material. The dictionary and vocab lists with clips for pronunciation help a lot, and the structure of the lessons are very practical. However, for some reason in the writing exercises, I have to press every key twice. You can disable them, but I don't want to because they're otherwise very useful, so it's a bit of a pain. Also, the ads partially cover the space you write in. I'd pay for the features when I'm able to, but for now it's frustrating.
