I think this service is an excellent idea. They indicate that my County participates in the Smart911 program, but I have no way to that. I've called 911 before but I have no way of knowing if they received the information I entered. I would like some confirmation from my County that they are still participating and that the e911 service is receiving my personalized Smart911 data. I'd like someone to me about this. If it works the way they say it does, I highly recommend it.

The date is December 14th, 2024 in Southeast Iowa. Not sure if app dropped the ball or what, we are under ice storm warning and no notifications. Somebody, somewhere dropped the ball. Warning is issued on NWS weather pages, but that's it. No alert from app.

While the framework of this app appears to be useful and robust, the actual functionality is abysmal. While we are currently under a Level 2 evacuation notice due to fire, we have received zero notifications from this app, and the app itself doesn't show any alerts. This is unacceptable for an app that is supposed to contractually (according to local 911) provide these resources.

Seems like a great app from what I'm reading but the pin requirement is an issue. I had a pin set for me it seems but it's comprised of letters. To update medical info it has to be numbers only. So unfortunately due to the contradictory nature of this I cannot take full advantage of what the app has to offer.

8/11 to 9/6/24. Ingham Co. still NOT following thru on "Updates". I still have Warnings that show as still OPEN. **** This app started out great, but now the reporting agencies are not following up on the reported incidents. Is the accident cleared? Is the road open? Are the intersection light now working? I also received a "Weather Related" notification that has NOTHING reported other than it's a notification. Would be good to know what weather condition we are supposed to be aware of.

The GUI is not intuitive. Furthermore, I subscribed to notifications and realized they were too frequent. I then updated the app to limit them to only text. I continuously received notifications from both. I then tried even disabling all together. I'm still getting a notifications from both. For now, I'll at least uninstall the app. Also - this shares info with police. Fire maybe? I get the logic. Love the idea and reason why. But they need to share legal documentation esp. on data retention.

Smart 911 is the best all around emergency App for you and your family. For home, travel, weather and disaster help. I've spent over 20 years in law enforcement, fire service and emergency dispatch. The last six years of my service I was actively involved with being trained and training others, in using Smart 911. It is hands down the best emergency dispatch and informational tool a dispatch center can have. But it's only as good as the information put in it. it's safe & secure. Check it out.

Update... there was an update and it is working as expected now the only reason why I didn't give it five stars is because I haven't been able to see how well the notification aspect works. The app is frozen on the keep safe and connected wherever you are pop up and you can't get ed it, have uninstalled and reinstalled and it stops at the same spot, can not use it at all.
