Although it's an app with lots of good functions, there are still bugs. First of all, it interferes with the alarm clock application, causing the alarm to sound only a few seconds, instead of sounding until snoozed, or dismissed. Second of all, boot protection startup of the application does not disable microphone for "ok GOOGLE" function. If you turn the Mic Blocker off and turn it back on, it does prevent "Ok GOOGLE" from listening to the microphone.

Had this for years and always the same on every phone! Switches itself off to unprotected every 2 weeks. Also, it seeks to "record", additional to requested permissions. I believe the app deactivates my extra onboard mic blocking app, where that app remains active in the absence of Micro Guard (BTW Also, Norton Apps appear to deactivate microphone blocking apps). However, this is now totally uninstalled and held suspect by me.

I was using the free version of this app and it seemed quite useful, so I thought I would upgrade and try the full version. However, the app simply doesn't work. I turn the protection on manually and it is fine. This can be tested by using the voice recorder on my device which doesn't record at this point. Unfortunately as soon as I make or receive a phone call it stops working. The app still shows as being protected, but I can use apps to record and save sound. Disappointing waste of money.

This app performs just as it says. I have only one issue, the widget does not work. I can find no setting or claim that it should act as a button to toggle protection, but the camera guard this developer produced has a widget that does just that and looks nearly identical. I find it very convenient with this feature and would like the microguard to act the same way. Is this intended?

This is a very good app but only one eye works unfortunately I would have to say you cannot trust it you got to constantly check on it !!! Are you have to do once you install it every now and then try and send a message to someone and hit the little speaker and if you see you work and you can record that's going to tell you your system has been turned off off I don't know why it doesn't but it's not safe find something else would be my best advice almost like trusting biting stay away !!!

I would give it a 5 star except, there is a vulnerability in this one. it doesn't have rights to be able to ser it from being tampered with. It keeps shutting down on I. I been working on other parts of my cell phone security so I really haven't taken the serious time to look into why it's doing that. Everything is set correctly. Imgoing to have to tare through this one like I'm taking through a whole SWEET POTATO PIE! Protect Star use to have a good camera blocker, what happened?

App says "protected," but the "Now Playing" feature on the lock screen of my phone displaying songs playing in the background - on other devices not connected to my phone - says otherwise. When I open Google Assistant, the mic is activated, but when i close it, open the mic blocker to confirm that it's enabled, then reopen Google Assistant, only now do i get a notification that the mic is disabled. Finicky and not reliable.
