Super fun, exactly like the real life card game. Zero ways to spend money in the game. Which makes it an amazing free to play game. The ability to scan your cards into the game and play with them is probably my favorite thing in an app. EDIT: Since the new update yesterday, The game is almost unplayable. You can't complete your quests. You can't get your experience for the battle . It just repeatedly recycles the quests.

In of rewards and economy, it's a step up from TCGO. However this game still needs some polishing. 1. Bugs still persist, even till today. (To the credits of the developers, the app now runs more smoothly) 2. The lack of format variety; there are only two formats (Standard and Expended Beta). Whereas previously in TCGO, there is more.

This is getting 3 stars due to what it was before going to this, but for some reason, I am having issues logging it. It won't let me continue past the screen. I have only once gotten through, but it's not letting me continue past the privacy and access screen. Tried uninstalling it and reinstalling it. Doesn't work. So I will continue to have a low star rating until that can be fixed.

Edit: Dropped to a 1 star. To many bugs in the game. Some of my Pokemon's abilities literally just don't work. My abilities that supposedly stops opponents from taking cards out of their discard pile with ability cards just doesn't do anything neither do my abilities that use any form of coin flips. Going to have to uninstall as there's no point in playing a game where my cards just don't work at all.

I love pokémon tcg and I'm in the hobby since the beggining of XY. That app is really cool and the fact that you can obtain all the cards needed by just playing and there's no way to put a payment service within the app is great imo. And for all the peole who speak of bugs. I got the occasional bug from TIME TO TIME but I play this game regularly since it got out and it wasn't a problem for me at all ! It can have bug when you have a bad internet connection or while they do a maintenance Ig. 🤔

It's been over 2 years since my initial review, and, unfortunately, very little has improved. The app is still riddled with game breaking bugs from cards not functioning as intended to the app just freezing or crashing. My one praise for the game was how easy it was to obtain cards. However, with recent changes to currency and the battle , even that has diminished. I absolutely love the Pokémon TCG. However, this client is just an utter disappointment. It's been years. This needs to change.

Pretty faithful adaptation of the game. Rules enforcement helped me learn quite a bit. Just play on PC. Mobile app has issues enough to keep me away. QoL issues like untimed matches between friends (optional), seeing your collection without building a deck, and maybe a tutorial on importing decks. Good to find out that the economy was nuked just as I started playing the game. Luckily the decks I have been interested in, I was able to build or augment to close enough. New sets will be tough

I don't know...this doesn't feel very well made and polished. Building and using your own decks takes ages since you have to spend days farming credits, so you're stuck using the pre-built meta decks which is fine for a while until it becomes boring. I've also had quite a few bugs where opponents lose connection and become unresponsive or the battle doesn't start, which ends in losses unnecessarily. The battles themselves are good, though, animations are not as nice as in PTCG Pocket.
