This game is a masterpiece. It's simple to learn, yet has a skill ceiling that grows with you as you learn more about the jokers and master tricks of the game. It wants you to exploit the rules, find synergy, and blast past the goals set each level, but it never just hand it to you. Playing the game is rewarding and inspires that "just one more run" feel.

I'll start with my one issue with this game, which is that sometimes the effects are poorly communicated. I've lost multiple runs due to a card's description being unclear. That said, this is an amazing and addictive game especially for one that was made by one person. I've had more fun with this $10 game than I've ever had with most games I've spent $60. If this doesn't win GOTY it's rigged. Kidding, but I really do think this deserves GOTY.

Great game. One problem. Idk if it's just android, or maybe android 12 specifically, but it seems to be tied to the drop down bar somehow? Like if I turn on do not disturb, the game mutes. If I swipe down from the top of the screen, my phone nearly freezes. If I get notifications that pop up, it lags heavily. Not really a problem, but just something I noticed

This is a very good port of Balatro. I've spent hundreds of hours with this game on Switch and had to have it on my phone too. So I don't need to explain why this game is so fun. This version runs super well and has made some slight UI adjustments to work better for using your fingers on a screen. It's difficult and basically impossible to get it to slow down so long as you're using a phone made in the past 5 years. Overall, great port and amazing game. Buy it

I hate card games. It's a fact there's never been a card game i could get into its either overly complicated with too many rules or too simple to the point it bores me. Balatro broke the bad card game loop. Balatro is a simple to learn yet hard to master solitaire poker combo that sounds confusing, and very ittedly looks a bit intimidating, but I assure you it took me 10 minutes to learn and I javent put this game down for the past 3 days. Addictive, fun, well designed. GOTY.

The game is amazing, period. As is its creator. Five stars for the game itself and also for LocalThunk. Literally the only problem I'm encountering is that it's a pretty big battery drain (I'm on a Pixel 6 and I otherwise keep background processes and brightness to a bare minimum) and doesn't have any means of lowering animations or quality to increase performance, but hopefully those will come down the road. Maybe a blessing that it gives me some limiting factor and I can't play forever lol

Great game and amazing concept, only issue is I basically work from my phone so I'm constantly emailing/texting/calling so if I'm mid game and exit out of the app for just a moment, the game then becomes half screen with the other half just black and I have to force quit the game and go back in for it to get back to normal. Not a huge issue, just annoying.

5 stars for the game itself. The app though has 2 pretty small issues i run into. The first is the audio stops working if I change devices while the game is running (connecting to or disconnecting from Bluetooth) the second is occasionally opening the desktop version SELL button for jokers and consumable cards and having them stuck like that. In both cases closing and reopening the app fixes the issue. These issues are not enough for me to deduct a star with how amazing the game is
