"Now the trumpet summons us again, not as a call to bear arms, though arms we need; not as a call to battle, though embattled we are – but a call to bear the burden of a long twilight struggle..."– President John F. Kennedy
HISTORY IN THE MAKING
Twilight Struggle puts the player at the center of the Cold War, the political and economic struggle between the U.S. and the U.S.S.R that spanned 5 decades from the 1950's to the 1990's. Designed by award winning creators Ananda Gupta and Jason Matthews, players control one of the two modern superpowers, as they work to spread their dominance throughout the world via political influence and coup attempts. But if either side triggers nuclear war, it's game over!
CARD BASED EVENTS
The event cards in the game are based on actual historical events from the Cold War era. Through the playing of these events, players exert their superpower's influence as they attempt to gain allies and regional control of the globe. From the early days of De-Stalinization, to the Cuban Missile Crisis, the Vietnam War and beyond, players are immersed in the actual events of the struggle between these two nations to be the dominant superpower in the world!

Great game, good digital version of the board game. I thought notifications were fixed this year in June's update, but it only notifies you if you close out of the game. If you switch to another app and leave the game open, you will not be notified. So, its KINDA fixed, but not really. If you have to close the game every time to get a notification, then you have to re- too. F'N DUMB! This would be a 5 star review if they would fix what worked for god*amn years!!!!!!

Wonderful game, one of the best and a lot of fun playing online with others. If you get really into it, a league and compete! But the recent update is terrible. Card names messed up (Trumane doctrine for one) and map can't pan anymore. No useful features added (60 min games). If not for that this would be a solid 4

The computer kept trying coups and made the game end and the game said the cou one even though they were the ones that triggered the nuke and according to the rules they automatically loose. If they did some bugs then I will fix my rating.

Great, with some bugs. I play it on my Acer R11 Chromebook (which allows for use of Android apps). This is helpful because the world map is so vast and detailed a bigger screen is helpful. Generally, it plays great. However, when the USSR AI stuck me with the Quagmire card, I was unable to do as requested: drag the card into the "field" so I could roll to undo Quagmire. The only option was to skip. I couldn't even play my score cards. Worse: it was Turn 10, and I was finally beating the game!

This app works just as well as the PC game. The AI has gotten better, the audio and visuals are great, and I like the cross-platform play. Wish it was available for my friends who have iPhone though. Glad there are push notifications for multiplayer now. I'm not sure if I've just gotten so used the AI or if I've just gotten much better but the game has become ridiculously easy in singleplayer. I just won a game with 56 VP. I never lose, so this isn't a fluke. I usually only win by 20-30 VP though.

The game itself is solid, but that's just because it's the same as the board game. The AI is not very good. Unfortunately it doesn't seem like there's been any updates in a year, so I'm guessing this won't change. The UI is okay. After playing Android board game adaptations like Through the Ages though, it's difficult to find much it does well. I've played 3 games and the app has crashed 3 times. It's not particularly stable. The animations are cool. That's about all I've got that's positive

Great digital implementation of a great board game. However, it does have a few glitches, the most significant I've hit was my inability to restore the expansion content when I changes devices. Cue to the WORST possible experience: ive tried ing on 3 occasions, all attempts end up with a request for more information, you reply to it, following which you are promptly ignored and receive no further communication. Very unprofessional: (Edit: 10 times now:(((, no response)

Pretty accurate version of the original board game. Few crashes here and there (nothing game breaking) and it is almost impossible to check cards currently in play (lost a star just for this, it's really bad - the icons are the size of a match-head!) But it does the job and is a lot faster then cracking out the actual tabletop version.
