Frequency counter based on the microphone input. Counts when the input rises or falls past a set level and converts into into frequency or a time period. FOR INDICATION ONLY. Results depend on your device and its hardware. If you just want to know the frequency of a sound with harmonics (e.g. musicial instrument), a FFT based app such as keuwlsofts spectrum analyser or guitar tuner will be better. This app can provide more accurate frequency measurement for single frequency input signals. Features include:Display of triggered event count and frequency or time period.
Graph of input signal, 2.5 ms/div up to 640 ms/div.
Gate time of 0.1s, 1s, 10s or 100s.
Gain from x1 to x1000.
Trigger on rise or fall.
AC or DC coupling.
Set a noise level so new event is not triggered until the signal has first ed this level.

Amazingly accurate (better than 2 decimal places on pure tones, & usually better than 1 decimal place on CD tracks - varies with CD player), but performance (particularly below 200Hz) varies with phone hardware - on my oldish Motorola it displays waveforms, but only gives a reading between 200Hz & 6kHz, after which it freezes. On a newer IMO it reads from 80Hz to 20kHz, but keeps closing down after about 6kHz, which is quite frustrating. NB: As developer indicates, only works with pure tones.

Does what it says, for whatever you could use an app that counts waveforns over a certain amplitude (with a noise floor adjustment) on. However, unfortunately on my current device, an LG G6, it seems a bit glitchy. This is the first app from this dev I've had problems with. Although this phone has been problematic lately. So the 2 stars lost could be my device and not the app, but that is my experience. And its not enough for me to uninstall practically all the other apps of this dev I have!

This app is perfect. Frequencies are accurate. For those of us who are using frequencies for meditation and healing, use this App to test false frequencies. It's helped me a whole lot. BTW, when it says "contains ads", it means a tiny box at the top of the screen that you'll hardly ever notice

The reading i get is accurate , as i wanted to test a gadget i this app. The gadget is anti repellent insects , and since it works on low frequency i couldn't know if the device is working or not so i tried few apps and discovered this app and the results was accurate.

Excellent application.i tested it with a transformer core sound. In India transformer works in 50hz supply so the sound generated will be 100hz and I tested it with the application and I found 100hz .which means it works perfectly.. sometime it showed 200hz but most time I got correct values...

top notch app, while it's not as accurate as regular frequency counter, it still does it job well. i tested this on a 1000 hz and 500 hz audio and the frequency that was shown in the app was correct.

I tested this app with pure tones and it works perfectly. Dont go buy the titles on you tube that suggest 528 hz most of them are not even close to accurate. Look for pure tones with this app.

This one is very nice it shows Hz number and a graph on it we should not need the graph only the Hz number and this one does not destroy data but it is more than 2.9 megabytes but it's interesting!
