**REQUIRES A SUBSCRIPTION**
Access to the content and functionality of this app requires a subscription to Kahoot!+ Family. The subscription starts with a 7-day free trial and can be cancelled at any time before the end of the trial.

The Kahoot!+ Family subscription gives your family access to Kahoot! features and several award-winning learning apps for children to explore math and learn to read.

HOW THE GAME WORKS
Kahoot! Algebra by DragonBox covers the following algebraic concepts:
* Addition
* Division
* Multiplication

Recommended for age five and up, Kahoot! Algebra by DragonBox gives young learners the opportunity to get familiar with the basics of equation solving.

Kahoot! Algebra by DragonBox uses a novel pedagogical method based on discovery and experimentation. Players learn how to solve equations in a playful and colorful game environment where they are encouraged to experiment and use creative skills. By manipulating cards and trying to isolate the DragonBox on one side of the game board, the player gradually learns the operations required to isolate X on one side of an equation. Little by little, the cards are replaced with numbers and variables, revealing the addition, division and multiplication operators the player has been learning throughout the game.

Playing does not require any supervision, although parents can assist children in transferring acquired skills into solving equations on paper. It is a great game for parents to play with their kids and can also give them an opportunity to freshen up their own math skills.

DragonBox was developed by former math teacher Jean-Baptiste Huynh and has been recognized as an outstanding example of game-based learning. As a result, DragonBox games have formed the basis of an extensive research project by the Center For Game Science at the University of Washington.

FEATURES
* 10 progressive chapters (5 learning, 5 training)
* 200 puzzles
* Learn to solve equations involving addition, subtraction, division and multiplication
* Dedicated graphics and music for each chapter

I bought this app many moons ago before they used the Kahoot! name and paying to access the full version when they went from free to paid. Reinstalled it and now it's a subscription model (read cashgrab - the price is ridiculous) and can no longer access what I've already paid for. It's a great app but the pricing model is just bent out of shape and why penalise people who were early adopters (I'm assuming the original developers sold up and moved on).

I actually love our big box numbers app & was looking to purchase some others. But after being forced into a subscription just to try the apps & then not being able to access any of the apps in the subscription due to some kind of glitch I can't fix & not able to reset due to yet another glitch. I am out the 16 dollars I could have spent buying an app & have wasted a ton of time I don't have trying to access my paid subscription. So I am now super annoyed & hate the whole bloody thing

This and the other apps are FUBAR on the Google Pixel 6 and 7- the payment page and the registration page is screwed up because the ap prevents proper auto rotation to use/find the buttons (and the size is gigantic but no ability to shrink it), the registration process isn't working correctly, and payments don't process. *** Update - I ed via email and never had a response, but apparently the payment DID process as a charge just tried to run again for an app we never could use.

I love the app and I would've given it 5 stars but I ed this app on 2 different devices; even though I was logged into both devices, my children's progress wasn't saved so all of the levels my son ed on his brother's tablet didn't show and he had to start all the way from the beginning when I ed the app on his device. He's really sad about that and may not want to play any longer. There should be a way that the progress saved so that any device you from will be there.

EW! My son loved prodigy so this looked close. I installed it but the ONLY screen you even get is a screen telling you give them your payment information. No, not going to give you my payment information even for a trial if I have no idea what this is. No thanks. Uninstalled it right away, bad business plan. I'll find something else less sketchy.

I have incredibly fond memories of using this app when I was a kid along with my brother to have fun learning algebra; I'm now in my undergrad for Mechanical Engineering. It makes me so deeply sad to hear that this app is now paid. I loved DragonBox because I thought it was doing the work we needed of being a FREE experience available to ALL people so that kids could learn great math. Shame on you Kahoot. I will no longer be engaging with your services. Also the name is worse now, great job.

For some reason you have to purchase this game within the free app. I made this in app purchase and got the game, but now it is asking me to buy it again in the app and I can't access it. Why is the game an in app purchase within itself? It's a shame because the previous dragon box stuff was pretty good.

I'd like to try this app but there's no way I'm getting forced into a subscription and to pay $26.99!! to purchase the app is ridiculous. I think Kahoots put the decimal in the wrong place. I'd buy it if it were $2.69...GFY!
