فَصْلٌ فِي فَضْلِ أَذْکَارِ الْمَسَاءِ وَالصَّبَاحِ

Explaining the virtue of morning and evening Dhikr

صبح و شام کیے جانے والے اذکار کی فضیلت کا بیان

01 - AL Quran [3:41]
وَٱذْكُر رَّبَّكَ كَثِيرًۭا وَسَبِّحْ بِٱلْعَشِىِّ وَٱلْإِبْكَـٰرِ

your Lord often and glorify Him morning and evening.


02 - AL Quran [7:205]
وَٱذْكُر رَّبَّكَ فِى نَفْسِكَ تَضَرُّعًۭا وَخِيفَةًۭ وَدُونَ ٱلْجَهْرِ مِنَ ٱلْقَوْلِ بِٱلْغُدُوِّ وَٱلْـَٔاصَالِ وَلَا تَكُن مِّنَ ٱلْغَـٰفِلِينَ

your Lord inwardly with humility and reverence and in a moderate tone of voice, both morning and evening. And do not be one of the heedless.

03 - AL Quran [21:20]
يُسَبِّحُونَ ٱلَّيْلَ وَٱلنَّهَارَ لَا يَفْتُرُونَ

They glorify Him day and night, never wavering.

04 - AL Quran [24:36]
فِى بُيُوتٍ أَذِنَ ٱللَّهُ أَن تُرْفَعَ وَيُذْكَرَ فِيهَا ٱسْمُهُۥ يُسَبِّحُ لَهُۥ فِيهَا بِٱلْغُدُوِّ وَٱلْـَٔاصَالِ

˹That light shines˺ through houses ˹of worship˺ which Allah has ordered to be raised, and where His Name is mentioned. He is glorified there morning and evening.

05 - AL Quran [30:17]
فَسُبْحَـٰنَ ٱللَّهِ حِينَ تُمْسُونَ وَحِينَ تُصْبِحُونَ

So glorify Allah in the evening and in the morning—


06 - AL Quran [33:41,42]
يَـٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ ٱذْكُرُوا۟ ٱللَّهَ ذِكْرًۭا كَثِيرًۭا ۔ وَسَبِّحُوهُ بُكْرَةًۭ وَأَصِيلًا ۔
O believers! Always Allah often, and glorify Him morning and evening.

07 - AL Quran [40:55]
فَٱصْبِرْ إِنَّ وَعْدَ ٱللَّهِ حَقٌّۭ وَٱسْتَغْفِرْ لِذَنۢبِكَ وَسَبِّحْ بِحَمْدِ رَبِّكَ بِٱلْعَشِىِّ وَٱلْإِبْكَـٰرِ

So be patient ˹O Prophet˺, ˹for˺ Allah’s promise is certainly true. Seek forgiveness for your shortcomings.1 And glorify the praises of your Lord morning and evening.

08 - AL Quran [76:24,25,26]
فَٱصْبِرْ لِحُكْمِ رَبِّكَ وَلَا تُطِعْ مِنْهُمْ ءَاثِمًا أَوْ كَفُورًۭا ۔ وَٱذْكُرِ ٱسْمَ رَبِّكَ بُكْرَةًۭ وَأَصِيلًۭا ۔ وَمِنَ ٱلَّيْلِ فَٱسْجُدْ لَهُۥ وَسَبِّحْهُ لَيْلًۭا طَوِيلًا ۔
So be patient with your Lord’s decree, and do not yield to any evildoer or ˹staunch˺ disbeliever from among them. Always the Name of your Lord morning and evening, and prostrate before Him during part of the night, and glorify Him long at night.

09 - Hadith [Al-Behki]
عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ بُسْرٍ رضي الله عنه قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُوْلُ اللهِ ﷺ : مَنِ اسْتَفْتَحَ أَوَّلَ نَهَارِهِ بِخَيْرٍ وَخَتَمَهُ بِخَيْرٍ قَالَ اللهُ عزوجل لِمَلَائِکَتِهِ : لَا تَکْتُبُوْا عَلَيْهِ مَا بَيْنَ ذَلِکَ مِنَ الذُّنُوْبِ۔ رَوَاهُ الْبَيْهَقِيُّ۔
Hazrat Abdullah bin Basr (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated that the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: When a person starts a day with goodness and ends it with goodness, Allah says to His angels: Don't write his/her central sins.
