DiskDigger Pro (for rooted devices!) can undelete and recover lost photos, documents, videos, music, and more from your memory card or internal memory (see ed file types below). Whether you accidentally deleted a file, or even reformatted your memory card, DiskDigger's powerful data recovery features can find your lost files and let you restore them.Note: if your device is not rooted, the app can only perform a "limited" scan for for deleted photos and videos. To be able to search for other types of files, and to search your device's entire internal memory, the device needs to be rooted. On a non-rooted device, the app can only recover lower-resolution versions of your photos that it finds in your device's cache and thumbnail directories.
After the scan is complete, tap the "Clean up" button to permanently delete any items that you no longer need (currently an experimental feature, available only in the Basic Scan).
You can also use the "Wipe free space" option to erase the remaining free space on your device, so that any deleted files can no longer be recoverable.

You can your recovered files directly to Google Drive, Dropbox, or send them via email. The app also allows you to the files to an FTP server, or save them to a different local folder on your device.

Given I had to be a dumbass who formatted my SD card many times AND had to save a random picture just to see if it got corrupted (it didn't). I think I lost everything that I used to have in the card given how the simple scan won't let me see pictures other than the one I saved (which I think it means everything's lost and there's no need to root), so I guess this means it should be able to work for those who know how to root their devices AND didn't commit a similar thing I did. 5/5 I guess☺🔫

The picture quality is so horrible. I wouldn't mind if it was a slight downgrade but it's to the point where nothing can be seen. Some photos are never found. Sorting function does not work, neither does the date filter where pictures taken clearly before the date are still shown when the filter is activated. i request a refund.

Norton has major issues with this app!! I have to constantly put up with Norton's ongoing warnings about this app!! I have ed the creator, who said: "The Norton system automatically flags any app that requires root access... ...which can potentially take full control of your device, ...so by definition "not safe," with good reason. DiskDigger is a very powerful tool, & could be used maliciously in the wrong hands." The creator IS NOT interested in complying with Norton security!!

Doesn't actually do anything with mp4 files. Claims it's saving the file but does nothing but write a name in the folder, hours later file is still 0 bytes, error say it can't read memory location, possibly an issue with not recognizing Magisk root at some point in the process though app successfully gained root. Often just stops at under 3 percent when scanning external SD or if set to start scan past that point then it stops when it reaches empty end space.

I rarely leave reviews, but felt I must for this, equally I felt compelled to buy the pro version. After an unfortunately necessary factory reset left me without a year's worth of photos that had not backed up due to cloud being full, this nifty little app restored them all and more! Now I have cherished memories of my sons birth and first months again. Can't thank you enough and would thoroughly recommend if you are in similar situation.

Love the new UI fixes, sorting, speed etc improvements. However, i dont know if just me and my files, but since all the new UI enhancements seems that more files it finds now are currupt and not salvageble. Old original seemed to recover more. Maybe just me maybe just my files, but old version find 50 zips restoring all. This app never found my old best swang mags!

The free version of this gives the impression your device is rooted and restoring files will be a breeze. After you pay $3 for the app, you're instantly thrown through a loop of installation that then requires you to pay $30 more to root - all before you can even see if anything on your device actually is recoverable.

The cleanup screen needs to have filters like the main recovery screen. And the app previously excluded photos that are already present so I could delete the recovery cache, but now I cannot do this without deleting all my actual photos and have to remove them one by one (I can only clean the thumbnail cache at once)
