Google’s GBoard, the default keyboard on Google Pixel Watches, no longer s entering a decimal point because of a bug introduced by Google.

Many years ago, GBoard did not entering a decimal point. This critical missing functionality was eventually implemented: you can see the little dot below the digit 0. Long-pressing the 0 key used to let you type a decimal point. But this no longer works — the dot icon is visible, but long-pressing it does nothing at all.

The root cause of this bug is in software from Google. Apps don’t make their own keyboards; apps can only request the system keyboard to show a decimal point. But GBoard is ignoring this directive.

Samsung Keyboard correctly shows the decimal point, so if it’s possible to install that on your Watch, we strongly recommend it.
