When it works, it's a great resource for looking up and reserving books throughout the King County Library System. It also syncs audiobooks and ebooks well with Kindle, Libby, or Overdrive. Unfortunately, it routinely signs me out automatically once a week and won't allow me to sign in for an indeterminate amount of time, which is quite frustrating.

This is a wonderful tool (mobile management of /holds/book lists/etc), but comes with some quirks. The biggest issue I seem to have is with the search function. When typing, the app seems to have a lag in which one or multiple keystrokes are skipped. It's not like this is due an autocorrect sort of function operating--I am not getting any predictive text suggestions. It just doesn't keep up. I usually have to erase my entire input and start over with very slow and deliberate typing. :-(

Old version on my previous phone had an ebook button that appeared after checkout. Can't find that on the new version; had to hunt & peck before giving up and going into overdrive to it. Maybe that's how they want it? Seems unintuitive and less friendly, but what do I know? Apps still pretty slow, but mostly just the home page. Other sections (borrowing, shelves, ect) are moderately faster in the new version.

New update terrible. App does not save s. Not intuitive to find shelves or navigate. s to Kindle TERRIBLE. Once you finally figure out how to even check out the book, you are just put back to the original place to find by random searching what to do next. Then you have to figure out what to click (twice!) to actually . Then you have to your Amazon . I've given up several times lately and am reading a paper book for a while.

The updated app is much worse than the previous one. Simple operations take much longer and involve many more clicks. Take for example extending the book. It was super simple in the previous version; the current one takes a lot of clocks to find "due soon" and lots of waiting to render the list

Unable to update app—after several tries—as of 4/22/21. Cleared app cache, cleared Google Play Store cache AND data. Just updated 14 other apps w/o issue. Bummer, since I was *hoping* an app update would make it so I don't have to install & use several different apps JUST to checkout & ONE e-book. As it is now, it's still easier to just use the KCLS website (desktop or mobile) than the KCLS app. Tried all the "tips & tricks" Google recommended. No change.

It's very glitchy. The hold system is great on theory, if it ever loaded. The search system is great in theory, if it ever loaded. Nothing seems to work better than subpar. The layout of the app is sloppy and difficult to navigate (esp at first). The theory of this app is awesome, the hold system, being able to check when your books are due back, etc... In practice it's a nightmare. I'd much rather use kcls thru my web browser.

I am an absolutely super fan of kcls. I have been a library card member for many years and look forward to using my card steadily in my future years. I've never had any unpleasant experiences with the staff in any department. Add to that the great number of subjects within every genre and very large numbers of books they purchase & select to order in every genre each month. The clubs, selected authors who are brought to the branches to interact with fans and the library has much more. up.
